Salamanca Place is a vibrant part of Hobart’s wharf with a rich history. It’s famous sandstone buildings have been converted into small boutique shops, cafes and the nightclub scene later in the week. Situated right on the wharf, Salamanca is a pinnacle area of Hobart and is home to events such as the Taste of Tasmania and Dark Mofo’s winter feast.
This is also where you will find much of the art work of Tassie’s local artists. Coop shops such as Off Centre showcase various works for sale and make for a lovely afternoon of browsing.
